Q: What is the cost of counseling?

If you go to a therapist in the Bellevue or Seattle area they will quote you a rate from $85 to $175 an hour.  My rate is $125, so I fall in the middle of the general price range. Also, I offer sliding scale for those in need which means that I will lower my fee to see that people get the help they need.

Q: How does this work with my insurance?

My experience has been that about 80% of clients who submit my reciept into their insurance company, receive at least partial reimbursement.

If we try it out, and your insurance company doesn't cover my services, let me know and we can work something out.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, check and credit and debit payments.

Q: Are you accepting new clients?

I limit my practice to 25 sessions per week so that I may bring full-attention and energy to my clients. I am currently accepting a limited number of new clients.

Q: How often would I come in?

I prefer to see people weekly. My experience is that this provides the best momentum for creating and sustaining change in their lives. This does change however depending on the situation bringing the client in. 

Q: How many sessions would I see you?

I see most clients between anywhere from 10 to 25 times, though the duration of therapy is up to you. It depends greatly on your goal, the complexity of the situation, and your readiness to change.

Q: How long does a session last?

Counseling sessions run 50 minutes. Sometimes, I will book longer sessions if the need arises.
